Week 1 - Survival needs

Week 1 with Nathan in the house reminded me of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, where the bottom of the pyramid is the most basic survival needs such as breathing, food, sleep, poop. We were all just doing what we needed to do to survive (although Nathan got many more hours of sleep than his parents). It was such a blessing to have family come over with food so we didn't have to think about meals on top of feeding / changing the baby and Jackson working only after two days off. I don't know how we got through the first couple of days without my mom here to help. I was so happy when she arrived on Wednesday and felt relieved to have help during the day so I can rest and get a couple of hours to myself.

Like father, like son. I came in and found them sleeping next to each other. So sweet.

Thanks James for the cute newborn outfit! Nathan wore it to his first pediatrician's visit at 3 days old. He weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and the doctor said his color was good and his poop looked perfect!
The three grandsons together! John Mark is such a big boy now - with a little brother and cousin.
Pao Pao is the best!
Taipei Noodle House with the Wu's and Mike - we are such loyal customers :)
Mom and Nathan with the beautiful blanket made with Pao Pao's love.

Our last get together before the Whiddons' move. So sad but glad that they got in an extra few visits with Nathan!
